Zurab Chinchaladze was born in 1960, April 23 in Tbilisi. He was brought up in the family, where his father - Robert Chinchaladze and mother - Nunu Vazniak was the great admirer and appreciator of music. That's why he has been fond of music, Since his childhood. Mother often took him to the Opera House, the Concert Hall of the Conservatory and theartres. His brother, who was 9 years older than he - Nodar Chinchaladze (Later the condutor) taught him playing th epiano and writing musical notes.

In 1967 he entered school N 140.

In 1968 he learned in Musical School N 14 with the famous teacher Sergo Ter-Arakelov.

At the same time he learned at Tbilisi experimantal school in the composing group with the professor Alexander Shaverzashvili. Zurab has written short musical works since this period, which were greatly praised by his tutors. Though at the same tim he wrote pop songs.

In 1974, at the age of 14 he created some entertaining music, among them was "I'm the tiny tree" on the poem of poet Ann Kalandadze. This song has been the most popular for dozen years.

In 1975 Zurab Chinchaladze enteres the Musical College in the violin class.

In 1977 he continuous learninng in Tbilisi Conservatory.

From 1976 he begins working with the famous bands - "Mziuri", Nergebi, "Rero" and "75".

As he was forbidden to write entertaining music by his tutors, his activities were kept secret from them.

Meeting with the famous Georgian representative of pop music Robert Bardzimashvili was very fruitful for the 18 year old musician who put his works into the repertoire of the most popular band at the period "75".

From thet time Zurab Chinchaladze attracted the great attention as a talanted musician and a composer.

In 1981-82 yaers he was taken to the army, though even there he didn't give up his musicalactivities and played in the army orchestra.

In 1983, after retuning from the army co-working of Zurab Chinchaladze and Robert Bardzimashvili goes on. Bardzimashvili invited him to the newly-formed children vocal - instumental ensemble "lakhti" as the musical leader. Here he showed his great talant as the musician and the teacher.

In 1985 he worked children's ensemble "Mziuri", and from 1986 he is the leader of Gori vocal-instrumental ensemble "Ai Ia". He travelled through the world with this ensemble very successfully.

In 1997-2001 years Zurab Chinchaladze continuous his working in Moscow in a recording studio as the music arranger.

Since 2002 up to presenet day he has been working on composing music. Besides creating musical works, Zurab is the best singer of his own songs.

His music is rich in variety. Besides entertaining music, he is also the author of lost of symphony, opera, ballet, choral, piano and orchestra music.
